We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer with strong expertise in Rotating Equipment for our ongoing projects in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE): Review vendor quality capabilities and proposals for complex rotating machinery during the bidding phase
Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIM): Chair PIMs at manufacturer facilities to define critical hold points, specifically for casing casting, rotor balancing, and performance testing
Inspection & Testing: Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Review critical tests report such as Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Mechanical Run Tests, and Performance/String Tests report witnessed and reported by TPI.
Vibration & Balancing: Verify balancing reports and vibration analysis data against acceptance criteria.
Vendor Surveillance: Coordinate Third-Party Inspectors (TPI) at vendor shops globally.
MRB Review: Ensure the Manufacturer’s Record Book contains all specific rotating equipment data (curves, seal data, alignment records) before release (Ref: Section 14.14).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 15 years total experience, with at least 8 years specific to QA/QC of rotating equipment in Oil & Gas. ADNOC related work experience and ADNOC approval are preferred.
Certifications:
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (IRCA Registered).
ASNT Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT) – ability to interpret casting defects.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of API 610 (Pumps), API 617 (Compressors), and API 692 (Seals).
