About the Role

Job Purpose

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the Project Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that all project activities are executed in compliance with ADNOC requirements, contractual obligations, project specifications, approved procedures, and applicable international standards. The role focuses on quality planning, audits, process compliance, continual improvement, and ensuring effective implementation of quality assurance practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System

  • Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and project requirements.

  • Develop, review, and update Project Quality Plans, Quality Procedures, and related quality documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, contractual requirements, and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of quality processes and recommend improvements where necessary.

Quality Assurance Activities

  • Review and approve quality-related procedures, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality records.

  • Verify that engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities comply with approved quality requirements.

  • Monitor implementation of quality assurance processes across all project disciplines.

  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the project team.

Audits and Compliance

  • Plan, conduct, and participate in internal quality audits and surveillance activities.

  • Coordinate external audits conducted by ADNOC, third-party agencies, certification bodies, and corporate quality teams.

  • Identify areas of non-compliance and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Track audit findings and verify effective closure.

Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions

  • Manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process.

  • Lead root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive action implementation.

  • Monitor trends in quality performance and recommend improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure lessons learned are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

Vendor and Subcontractor Quality Management

  • Evaluate and monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance.

  • Participate in supplier assessments, audits, and quality reviews.

  • Ensure vendor quality documentation complies with project and ADNOC requirements.

  • Coordinate quality issues related to procurement and subcontracted work.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Prepare periodic quality reports and KPI dashboards.

  • Analyze quality metrics, audit results, NCR statistics, and process performance indicators.

  • Present quality performance reports to project management and client representatives.

  • Support management review meetings and quality improvement programs.

Training and Awareness

  • Conduct quality induction and awareness sessions for project personnel.

  • Provide guidance on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.

  • Support competency development initiatives related to quality management.

Project Close-Out

  • Ensure proper compilation and maintenance of quality records.

  • Support preparation of quality dossiers, turnover packages, and final project documentation.

  • Verify that all quality-related deliverables are completed prior to project handover.

Other Requirements

Technical Knowledge Experience working on ADNOC projects or major Middle East Oil & Gas projects is preferred. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Familiarity with ADNOC standards and specifications. Knowledge of EPC project execution processes. Understanding of international codes and standards including API, ASME, ASTM, IEC, and ISO standards. Experience with quality audits, NCR management, root cause analysis, and corrective action programs.
